Fan brush: features, functionality and how to use MESAUDA

Not all brushes are the same! Let's discover together what the fan brush is and how to use it.

Today we are talking about one of the most used and loved make-up accessories by women, which is indispensable for a flawless make-up: the fan brush. Here are all its features and how to use it.

Features of the fan brush

The fan brush has a rather strange and unusual shape, quite different from all the others: it is flattened, the bristles are distributed from left to right, resembling the shape of a fan. There are two types of fan-shaped make-up brushes: thin or large. The former is smaller and has fewer bristles in a single row, and is extremely thin and light; the latter is a brush with a larger handle and a much larger number of bristles. It is important to differentiate between the two types of fan brushes as, although they are similar, they have different functions.

Fan brush: what it is used for

Here are the main features of both products:

  • Thin fan brush. The smaller product serves basically to remove excess product and to lighten the effect, especially of Powder, Highlighter, blush and foundations, both mineral and powder. Thanks to its fine, light bristles, you can gently remove these excess powders. A second important function of the fine brush is the application ofHighlighter: this gives you an extremely natural and light effect. Thanks to the fine, thin bristles, you can precisely define and enhance specific areas of the face.
  • Large fan brush. The large fan brush, on the other hand, is ideal to use for applying blush and the contouring technique. Thanks to its flat shape and full bristles, it defines areas of the face accurately, allowing the creation of a perfect oval.

How to use the fan brush

The use of the fan brush is very simple:

  • Thin brush. All you have to do is gently sweep the product over your forehead, cheeks and chin, working from right to left and from bottom to top. This will remove the surface layer of excess powder without ruining your makeup base. You will see the excess powder "fly off" to the side.
  • Large brush. Take the Bronzing Powder with the brush and then shake it to remove excess. With small movements, pass it over the areas to be darkened and then, after washing and drying it well, pass it over the same areas to blend it in and create the desired effect.
